Our latest jaunt ended yesterday and it was full of good shows and good times. The best being that our show in Seattle was reviewed by NO DEPRESSION magazine. For bands in our genre NO DEPRESSION top of the line. Check out the review here:

Our first show was in Portland at Mississippi Studios. This was only our second time in Portland and we managed to play the coolest venue. It was filled with old church pews and wooden folding chairs, paintings of old blues artists, and even a silver camper in the back. The sound and audience were great. Band of Annuals, Or, the Whale and Bark Hide and Horn; no single syllable band names here. Bark Hide and Horn let all of is crash at their house. Seventeen band members in all! Thanks guys.

The show in Seattle was at our favorite venue, The Tractor Tavern. It was a packed house and all the bands delivered. Or, the Whale, Band of Annuals and The Maldives. We were for once the band with the least members! Steel guitars, beards, red headed singing girls, and twangin' songs filled the air. Some of the guys from Or, the Whale joined us onstage for the climax of Don't Let Me Die. It was a great moment. The night was capped off by eagerly awaited street-meat: hot dogs and veggie dogs. Seattle's best!

Next came Spokane. We've missed Spokane the last couple of tours so it was nice to be back. We always look forward to Empryean's French roast coffee. Karli Fairbanks made us feel welcome and mesmerized us with her songs. She even made us breakfast. Thank you Karli, Zac, and everyone who showed up. It was our best Spokane show yet.

Last but now least was The Badlander in Missoula, Montana. It was a Monday and our first time there, but it turned out to be good. The weather was a reminder that we were near home. Which can be a good or bad thing. We met new friends and friends of friends; one being Marcus who let us sleep at his apartment even when we were in a particularly goofy mood. We will definitely return.

Other happenings included Brent kicking over a garbage can, jumping jacks, the road's a bitch songs, truck stop karate kicks, Jamie getting tanked, five dollars a day allowance, and lots of avocados.

One more thing, we have put a link on our myspace page that allows you to donate to Save Galactigone. Any donation helps!

We just got back from a weekend trip playing shows in San Fransisco and Los Angeles.
It was our second time playing San Fran's Amnesia. The first time we had the luck of sharing the stage with the one-of-a kind Toshio. His repertoire is a virtual jukebox of classic honky tonkin' songs. He's a must see!! This time local bands The Blank Tapes and Prairie Dog joined us. A lot of old Salt Lake friends showed up and S.F.'s Diane, Amy, Michael, and Cindy were there. The turn out and music was great.

Our show in L.A. was at Tangier with the awesome Leslie and the Badgers. She put so much work into the show and it turned out really well. The place was pretty upscale for BOA standards; you can only clean us up so much. Aside from the ten dollar Jameson & Cokes everything was kosher. The sound was particularly good that night. Joshua James took time away from recording to come to the show, as did Jamie's dad.

Saturday we headed south to Orange County to record a song for the www.indierockreviews.com Bionic Ear Sessions. The weather was amazing and the new song turned out really well. While half of us recorded the other half lounged on the lawn enjoying the sun. It was a fitting moment for Jordan's farewell, his drumming is a big part of the song. Jordan will be missed and we wish him the best in his travels.

February is gonna be a busy month, lots of opportunities to come to a show...hint hint.

Going south for the winter is the best idea of 07, that and bringing Chaz along on tour. Arizona shows are an excuse for us to hang out with our friends in The Via Maris, and take over Jen's house (and Ashley's bed) for multiple days. We played three jams on Tuscon's community radio 91.3, and kicked it with Dr. Dan. Those tracks will be uploaded somewhere soon. Last nights show at The Farm in Las Cruces featured David Williams on drums. This was blogged via cell phone, welcome to the future... Happy Holidays

Leaves are changing color, and we are on the coast. Goodbye to SLC's rainy days, La was mellow, Leslie hosted us well, Robb joined us for breakfast and Jamie and Jay bumped the van... San Fran was bomb as always, Amy Davis owns all, and its nice to see Cindy and Diane, we love D-Structure. Portland gave us the pleasure of playing with Shelly Short and Car Crash Lander. Seattle serves us a day off with the best weather around... tonight we get a little crazy on the town, more to come...

this is what has happened as of now.

-Spokane, WA... by far the best turn out we have had of the 3 times playing... we met up with some good friends and made a few new ones. karli was kind enough to put us up in her house...

-Seattle, day one... this is the first time we played at the tractor tavern, and we fell in love with this little honkey tonk bar... we will definitely play there again. we had "cool-coldish" PBR's disguised in Taco John's cups and an all night veggie dog stand. the Conrad Ford dudes showed up and kicked it, and we stayed the night at Jake and Tysons house and hit the beach and the market this morning. Now we are watching Talladega Nights and getting ready for a house party show... should be a blast.
